This month's song is one of mine you may have heard before, or even had a martini that was named after it. But what makes this particular version special is that it is the first studio recording of the full band, Urban Blue. Urban Blue is: Lee Hansen on sax and vocals, Adam Coletta on guitar and vocals, Kristi Budd on vocals, Lee Nunn on bass, Stan Joseph on drums, and me on keys and vocals.
I love the three part harmonies, the sweet sax and bass lines, and the funky reggae beat. Click on the picture collage above to see us in action - photos courtesy of Richard Powers.

Radio Interview on KDRM 99.3
When I was out in Moses Lake, WA with the whole Urban Blue band last month performing at Michael's Market and Bistro and the Pillar Rock Grill for the Relay for Life fundraiser, I got a call from Dale Roth, DJ from KDRM 99.3 FM. We had met and hung out at the last two Relay for Life events there, and Dale is a great, fun guy. Well, he did an interview of me over the phone and played "All Fruits Ripe" on his show. Many thanks, Dale!
He recently was kind enough to send me a recording of that interview, so I wanted to share it with you.

And Now The Florida Tour
So Adam Coletta, Lee Hansen, and I (and families) have traveled to Mexico Beach, Florida to play some gigs as a trio. I've decided to call us the Tom Willner Trio, a Sub-Urban Blue production. I have already started to post status updates, pictures, and maybe even videos from our trip. To follow the tour as it unfolds:
We're chillin' on the beach and by the pool, and heading to the Dockside Cafe tonight for the first show, then to the Port St. Joe Relay for Life tomorrow night. Tune in, and see you either by the Gulf or out in the internets...
